Rules are changing. The world is dynamic and so is Facebook. Facebook is now opening its doors to more creators as it connects with Fan Subscriptions and live-stream “Star” payments. It also adds new ad tools and analytics to all creators' excitement. Yes, creativity and monetization have never been better!
As COVID-19 persists, Facebook realizes that video viewing is more appealing since the time of lockdowns. With live-streaming, it is an easy show of reaching new highs.
Facebook now offers more avenues for creators to sign up for its monetization tools. Any eligible page or profile can sign-up for monetization although the criteria are slightly based on a case-to-case basis.
However, it is evident that the posts of creators must be unique, creative, and authentic and must have been duly established on Facebook. This includes having a 90-day established presence and maintaining sufficient numbers of followers. With these, fan subscriptions and Star goals can appear as overlay text over videos.
There are also automated thank you cards to acknowledge fans during the stream although this is hardly pressed. Creators will also most likely monetize 60-180 second videos with image and post-roll ads. These are called Ads in Short-Form Videos. Meanwhile, new live-stream ads particularly mid-roll ads continue in the stream while a smaller window shows the live-streaming. It allows videos watched in the watch feature after viewing a short ad.
Page owners can test to monetize live events through a one-time collection charge. The middlemen or platforms are eliminated allowing you to undergo the whole process at Facebook. New Insights are added to the Facebook Live Broadcasts with the dashboard for Video Details Explorer.
Facebook will continue to initiate and implement more creative pursuits for creators in the coming years!
