Let’s celebrate with a bang, hoping everything will be better from now on. There’s no reason not to look forward to it, especially when talking about social media trends. So let’s get moving with high hopes and aspirations for the year 2023!
2023’s ROI will be sourced through social ads.
Let’s face it, the pandemic has brought all marketers online. With face-to-face interactions lessening every day. Many businesses have gone virtual with a few who cannot compete virtually, now spiraling into their thresholds. Change is the only thing constant. It’s the new normal. Accept it or not. Those are hard facts and realities.
Ever since the pandemic started, in-store displays were no longer attractive. But still, marketers continue to build brand loyalty online. It’s what social marketing is all about. It is the capacity to reach out to new, ideal, or loyal customers and consumers over some time. Social Media presence is key.
2023 comes with marketers doing more listening than talking.
The turntables are now up to the marketers. Instead of doing the talking, brands make time for more listening. Everything used to be about the brand but now the shift is about the customer’s or consumers’ needs and wants. All good concepts built are tailored to the persona of the customers and consumers. Marketers respond by fitting the gaps in the wants and needs of customers and consumers.
2023 is for the baby boomers.
Technology is for everyone. Ever since the millennial marketers took their platform online, the fact is even baby boomers from 40 years old and above are now computer savvy. They now do most of their shopping online. Research has shown an increase in active users of online platforms for the said age bracket. They now become the most highly valued consumers and customers online with a few clicks here and there. This is a cool thing that breaks intergenerational gaps.
2023, the real deal is establishing identity.
Identity and credibility are everything. While platforms are invaded online, there are functions in which the identity of marketers is linked with their social media presence. Even if everything seems to have shifted online, it does not mean that we create division. We still find connectedness in human beings by talking to real and actual people we believe exist online. Trolling or buying subscribers is not the way to go about it. Neither are Autobots accepted even in this computer age. We feel the need for the feeling, thinking, and emphatic human being behind online platforms.
2023 spells purpose.
Community-driven purposes are a trend. Marketers are looked up to because of their empathy towards humans, especially in these trying times. The real ones who survived and thrived are the ones who have shown their goodness towards people. Studies show that people are more likely to trust a brand that helps their fellow. These businesses are supported most by the community-driven efforts and humanitarian considerations they do during the pandemic. Marketing has grown into a purpose with a heart.
With all things said in done, we hope that you inculcate within you these guidelines to make it through 2023 and 2024 a more hopeful year. Wherever you may be, we are here. You are not alone. Despite all the things that happened, we remain strong.
The trends don’t lie - marketers succeed only by being human. It’s not always about ROI anymore, it’s about thriving and supporting others to thrive too. Wishing you a fruitful year ahead! Cheers!
